Job summary

Light & Wonder is seeking a Quality Assurance Software Tester to ensure gaming products perform to the highest standards. This onsite role in Chadderton involves testing across functionality, usability, performance, and compliance, working closely with developers and product teams to deliver reliable gaming experiences.

The ideal candidate enjoys gaming, pays attention to detail, and is motivated to continuously improve QA processes.

Qualifications

• Experience working within software testing or quality assurance environments.
• Understanding of testing methodologies, QA processes and SDLC.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience using Jira and TestRail.

• Execute functional, usability, performance and compliance testing across gaming products and software platforms.
• Verify games meet product requirements, quality standards and regulatory expectations.
• Identify, reproduce and document software defects clearly and accurately.
• Track issues through resolution and support retesting activities.
• Collaborate closely with developers and cross-functional teams to improve product quality.
• Provide testing support across different Light & Wonder teams as required.

Position Summary

At Light & Wonder, quality is at the heart of every great player experience. As a Quality Assurance Software Tester, you'll play a key role in ensuring our games perform exactly as intended before reaching players around the world.

Working closely with developers, artists and product teams, you'll test game functionality, usability, performance and compliance requirements, identifying issues and helping deliver reliable, engaging, high-quality gaming experiences.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about gaming, naturally curious, detail-oriented and motivated to continuously improve the quality of our products and processes.

Work Pattern: This role is fully onsite at our Chadderton office, five days per week. Regular onsite working is essential as you'll , test gaming hardware and software, on our machines.

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What You'll Do

• Execute functional, usability, performance and compliance testing across gaming products and software platforms.
• Verify games meet product requirements, quality standards and regulatory expectations.
• Identify, reproduce and document software defects clearly and accurately.
• Track issues through resolution and support retesting activities.
• Investigate and reproduce issues reported from the field and provide detailed findings.
• Create, maintain and enhance test cases, test plans and test scripts.
• Perform regression testing to verify fixes and ensure product stability.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting testing deadlines.
• Collaborate closely with developers and cross-functional teams to improve product quality.
• Contribute ideas to improve testing approaches, tools and QA processes.
• Provide testing support across different Light & Wonder teams as required.
• Complete additional testing activities assigned by Senior Testers and Test Leads.

What You'll Bring

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Ability to learn new products, systems and testing tools quickly.
• Experience using TestRail and or Jira
