Job summary

Yorkshire Building Society seeks a Test Lead to provide management oversight of IT change from a testing perspective and to lead a team of Test Engineers. You will drive test plans, manage risks, and promote automation for high-quality delivery in a hybrid Bradford/Leeds setup.

You’ll engage with stakeholders across DevOps, Waterfall or iterative methodologies, coaching others to achieve quality and delivery goals.

Qualifications

• You should have extensive experience in leading IT Testing with a track record of delivering test plans for multiple projects.
• Strong ability to manage and mentor a test team and coordinate with internal and external resources.
• Knowledge of test automation and its role in high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities

• Establish test delivery model, governance and structure for initiatives ensuring delivery and governance.
• Oversee testing across the organisation collaborating with partners and stakeholders.
• Build or verify change/test plans, identify risks and resource testing tasks appropriately.
• Influence and advise on process and technical decisions to ensure quality.
• Promote test automation and reuse opportunities within the team.
• Ensure testing outcomes meet predefined quality criteria.
• Provide direction and coaching to achieve required quality.
