Job summary

Morson Edge (Technology) is recruiting an experienced Test Manager to lead a centralised testing function across a complex multi-system environment in Leeds. You will define testing strategies, manage a team of testers and ensure quality across internal teams and external suppliers.

The role focuses on enhancing integration testing, building automated regression capabilities and driving continuous improvement throughout the testing lifecycle, with occasional overseas travel as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of testing professionals, allocating resources effectively across multiple projects.
• Develop and implement test strategies, plans, processes and quality standards.
• Establish and improve integration testing across multiple systems and supplier developments.
• Build automated regression testing capabilities to protect core business functionality.
• Oversee the full testing lifecycle, including system, integration and user acceptance testing.
• Support business stakeholders with UAT and deployment readiness.
• Manage external suppliers, delivery risks and testing dependencies.
• Define testing metrics and reporting to measure quality, coverage and continuous improvement.
• Communicate testing progress and risks to senior stakeholders.
• Evaluate testing tools and processes to improve efficiency and ROI.
• Coordinate with international business and IT teams, including overseas travel where required.

Location: Leeds City Centre (2 days per week onsite)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead and develop a centralised testing function within a complex, multi-system technology environment.

You will be responsible for defining testing strategies, managing a team of test specialists and ensuring the quality and stability of technology solutions delivered by multiple internal teams and external suppliers. The role will focus on improving integration testing, building automated regression capabilities and driving continuous improvement across the testing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of testing professionals, allocating resources effectively across multiple projects.
• Develop and implement test strategies, plans, processes and quality standards.

• Proven experience managing test teams within complex technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools and the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience across system, integration, regression and user acceptance testing.
• Practical experience implementing and using test automation tools.
• Understanding of Agile delivery methods, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience managing third-party suppliers, delivery risks and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Recognised software testing certification and a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
• Financial services or other regulated industry experience.
• ERP integrations and data migration within legacy environments, ideally involving SAP.
• Testing across complex, multi-system and international environments.
