About the role

I’m working with a growing tech team in Cardiff that’s looking for a QA Test Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. They operate a hybrid working model, usually coming into the office twice a week, with Wednesdays being the main team day. You’ll be joining a close-knit team of 12, including 6 developers and 2 QA engineers. The work is varied and interesting, spanning a range of public-facing and internal systems, including a digital ledger system, a bond investment platform, and an in-house document generation system.

In this role, you'll work closely with developers in an Agile environment to ensure test coverage, focusing on automation where it adds value. They use Playwright and TypeScript for frontend automation and C# for backend testing. There’s also scope to explore AI tools to support testing and streamline QA processes.

Candidate profile

They’re looking for someone with an analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and a desire to improve testing processes. Ideally, you’ll be a mid-level or senior QA with some automation experience. If you’re newer but eager to learn, they’re happy to support your development. There’s plenty of automation work for experienced testers too.

Salary and application
