Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is recruiting a QA Technician to join the Bromborough Technical Team. The role focuses on ensuring products meet integrity and specification requirements, with responsibilities covering pre-start checks, calibration, sampling, and lab analyses.

Working hours are five days out of six from 07:00 to 15:30 on the day shift, with on-site duties and a comprehensive benefits package including life assurance, pension, and learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
• Experience with quality checks and lab sampling is advantageous.
• Ability to follow strict safety and specification standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product specs are ready on the line before start-up.
• Calibrate and monitor metal detectors and measurement equipment.
• Take lab samples and perform meat content analyses as required.
• Conduct pre- and post-production checks including weight, labeling, and pack tare.
• Support line trials and random checks to ensure compliance.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a QA Technician to join our Bromborough Technical Team.

Working Hours: 5 days out of 6 days - 0700 1530 Day Shift

The purpose of the role is to ensure that all products meet integrity and specification requirements.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include

• Ensure that one-page specs for products are on the line prior to start up
• Responsible for changing the threshold on metal detectors.
• Responsible for conducting fat tests for the Mince line only.
• Conducting various pre and postproduction checks, including Gas, average weight, metal detector, finish product, pre-despatch and despatch
• Daily calibration checks of probes
• Responsible for taking lab samples and conducting meat content analysis.
• Checking labels for accuracy against specification and product, including conducting double check
• Conducting Retail pack tare checks on catch weights
• Conducting scale verification
• T2 chart (check scale is running average weight)
• Completing random checks on lines to see if any old scan labels have been left.
• Machine Mind including labellers and Sealpac.
