Job summary

Pilgrim’s Europe is seeking a passionate QA Lead to own food safety, quality assurance and compliance on the Attleborough site. You’ll lead a team of Quality Technologists on a rotating night shift, ensuring GMP, HACCP, allergen controls and customer standards are met.

Working with Technical and Production teams, you will analyse data, drive continuous improvement, and embed a proactive food safety culture across shifts. A degree in Food Science and HACCP knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or Quality Management.
• Proven knowledge of BRC, GMP, HACCP and allergen controls.
• Demonstrated leadership and team development skills.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the lead Quality authority on night shift, driving food safety excellence.
• Ensuring full compliance with food safety standards, BRC, GMP, and allergen controls.
• Leading, coaching, and developing a team of Quality Technologists.
• Embedding a proactive food safety culture across production teams.
• Using data analysis, KPIs, and root cause analysis to improve performance.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Supporting Operational Excellence (OPEX) and Technical strategy delivery.
• Ensuring products meet customer, regulatory, and brand standards every time.

Location: Attleborough

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (6am-6pm)

Annual Leave: 20 days January to December

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced QA Lead to take ownership of food safety, quality assurance, and compliance during night operations at our Attleborough site.

This is an exciting opportunity for a food manufacturing professional who thrives in a fast-paced

FMCG environment, enjoys leading teams, and wants to play a key role in building a world-class food

safety culture.

Working closely with Technical and Production teams, you’ll be the go-to quality expert on shift,

ensuring best-in-class standards across GMP, HACCP, allergen management, and continuous

improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For

• HACCP Level 4 (desirable)
• Degree or equivalent in Food Science, Food Technology, or Quality Management
• Proven experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or high-risk production environments
• Strong knowledge of BRC standards, GMP, HACCP, and allergen control
• Demonstrable leadership and team development skills
• Confident in problem-solving, auditing, and data-driven decision making
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
