Job summary

Manucomm Recruitment Ltd is seeking a proactive QA Supervisor for a food manufacturing site near Ilminster. You will lead the QA activities, ensure products meet quality and food safety standards, and support audits and continuous improvement.

Working closely with Production and Technical teams, you will monitor KPIs, investigations of out-of-spec results, and help manage day-to-day QA operations, including absence coverage. A background in food manufacturing and HACCP knowledge are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Flexible, organised approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Team leadership experience is desirable.
• Food Safety, HACCP or Internal Auditing qualifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring products meet quality specifications and food safety standards.
• Investigating out-of-specification products and supporting corrective actions.
• Coordinating GMP audits and supporting internal and external audits.
• Monitoring KPIs and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the QA team, including absence and holiday cover.
• Working collaboratively with Production to maintain quality and operational efficiency.
