Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 Per Annum (depending on experience + Bens)

QA / QC Clothing Technologist Wanted

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a growing and well-established clothing manufacturing business. They are looking to add a QA Technologist / QC to a team of 3 (the business is much larger).

DUTIES:

1. Conduct fit sessions in-house and at retailers’ sites (when permitted), balancing speed and quality; make confident commercial decisions; own the fitting process and inspire trust from colleagues and suppliers.
2. Analyze technical issues accurately and communicate clear, concise comments to suppliers; process samples promptly and efficiently.
3. Collaborate with Design, Merchandising teams, and suppliers to provide technical guidance on new product development, aiming to reduce costs and improve quality.
4. Ensure compliance with fibre labelling regulations, product safety, and REACH legislation; manage testing and resolve non-compliance issues effectively.
5. Implement continuous improvement initiatives and develop creative solutions.
6. Perform grading; use PLM software with suppliers.

MUST HAVES:

• Recent experience as a fashion Clothing QA or QC in a fast-paced high street clothing supplier or retailer.
• Multi-product experience, capable of switching between product areas confidently.
• Solid experience working directly with factories, including workflow, production control, machinery, and equipment.
• Good understanding of garment construction, fabric technology, and testing.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proficient IT skills: Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Keen to learn childrenswear and problem-solving skills.
• Eligible to work long-term in the UK.
• Knowledge of pattern-cutting, grading, and grade rules would be advantageous.
