Hampshire Recruitment Group LTD is recruiting a QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control across major civil engineering, utilities and energy infrastructure projects in the UK. You will own the Quality Management System, oversee audits, manage NCRs and drive continuous improvement to meet client expectations and industry standards.

The role demands strong analytical skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to support multiple projects while travelling to site locations

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience as a QA/QC Manager or Senior Quality Advisor
• Strong background in civil engineering, utilities, or power infrastructure
• Thorough understanding of ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems
• Experience managing audits, NCRs, corrective actions, and quality documentation
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to support multiple projects and teams simultaneously

Aufgaben

• Oversee all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS) across high-profile projects
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and industry best practice
• Develop, implement and monitor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Lead internal and external quality audits
• Investigate non-conformances and drive corrective/preventive actions
• Support project teams with quality planning, documentation and compliance
• Produce quality reports, audit findings and KPI metrics for senior management
• Conduct site inspections and quality reviews across active projects
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and certification bodies
• Promote continuous improvement across the business
• Support bid and tender submissions from a quality/compliance perspective
• Identify opportunities to improve quality processes and efficiency

The Opportunity

Working across multiple civils and electrical infrastructure projects, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing the company's Quality Management System whilst supporting operational teams throughout the full project lifecycle.

The Role

Reporting directly to senior management, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and quality control across a range of high-profile infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining the company's Quality Management System (QMS)
• Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards and industry best practice
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Leading internal and external quality audits
• Investigating non-conformances and implementing corrective and preventative actions
• Supporting project teams with quality planning, quality documentation, and compliance requirements
• Producing quality reports, audit findings, and KPI metrics for senior management
• Conducting site inspections and quality reviews across active projects
• Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and certification bodies
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement throughout the business
• Supporting bid and tender submissions from a quality and compliance perspective
• Identifying opportunities to improve quality processes and operational efficiencies

Candidate Requirements

We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience as a QA/QC Manager, Quality Manager, QA Manager, or Senior Quality Advisor
• A strong background within civil engineering, utilities, power, infrastructure, energy, or electrical contracting environments
• Thorough understanding of ISO 9001 standards and Quality Management Systems
• Experience managing audits, NCRs, corrective actions, and quality documentation
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to support multiple projects and operational teams simultaneously
• Flexibility to travel to project sites as required

Desirable Experience

• Experience within ICP, DNO, power distribution, transmission, renewable energy, or utility infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of NEC contracts
• HNC, HND, or Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related discipline
• Experience working on high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects
