The QA/AC Manager is primarily responsible for leading the development and implementation of project specific quality programs in alignment with the QTS Quality Assurance Program. The QAM will interact with project teams, including trade partners and vendors, to ensure adequate control measures are performed and produce the expected outcomes, and lead the corrective action when found otherwise.

Duties and Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned:

  1. Manage the quality assurance programs on one or more projects.
  2. Train, manage, assist, and hold accountable other project-specific quality personnel, when applicable.
  3. Provide training to project teams, including trade partners and vendors, on quality expectations.
  4. Monitor and proactively recommend continuous improvement opportunities at the project level.
  5. Document and communicate updates for assigned project(s) to the Development Quality Team on a bi-weekly basis.
  6. Lead/Participate in project quality meetings to ensure adequacy of topics and participation.
  7. Monitor project inspection and testing requirements and results.
  8. Perform weekly jobsite walks with the General Contractor.
  9. Periodically review project Quality Observation Reports for data integrity and follow up with teams for corrective actions when found to be deficient.
  10. Understand and communicate the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) expectations.
  11. Lead/Participate in root cause analyses when a nonconformance issue meets prescribed criteria.
  12. Work alongside MEP Team to understand expectations and improvement opportunities during commissioning activities.
  13. Participate in vendor/supplier factory tests, inspections, and audits.
  14. Establish and maintain relationships serving as liaison with key QTS stakeholders.
  15. Represent QTS interests as a leader in OAC Meetings.
  16. Encourage vocal and visible recognition for quality successes.
  17. Be a leading voice for INTEGRITY within the quality program to promote open and productive communication between all stakeholders.
  18. Actively participate in internal QTS Quality improvement opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years of construction experience
  2. 5+ years of quality related management experience, including plan development, training, implementation, and continuous improvement.
  3. Experience in Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for presentation development and Excel for data compilation and analysis.
  4. Be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
  5. US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with Procore and PowerBI
  2. American Society for Quality (ASQ) certified CMQ/OE, CQIA, CQPA, CQE, and/or CQA
  3. Experience with delivery of mission critical data center facilities.
  4. Experience working with MEP trades.
