Job summary

Cranswick Gourmet Bacon (Sherburn site) is hiring QA Operatives to support quality assurance processes. You will generate and maintain sample collection plans, load samples on the lab system, and manage taste panel rotas and results.

Responsibilities also include paperwork review, issuing retailer price lists, weekly code calendars, and routine temperature checks. The role requires reliability, teamwork, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Generation and maintenance of sample collection plan.
• Sample loading on lab system and maintenance of schedules.
• Generation and maintenance of taste panel rota and inputting results.
• Paperwork review, completion, and filing.
• Issuing of retail price list.
• Update and maintain weekly code calendar.
• Completion of weekly fridge and water temperature checks.
• Hand swab sampling; as per required frequency.
• Water sample collection; as per required frequency.
• Cover brine sample collection as needed.
• Probe calibration; as per required frequency.
• Packaging audit; as per required frequency.
• Area audits for GMP/CCPs, procedures, traceability, batch numbers, PPE, equipment adherence, foreign bodies.
• Check weighing download information.
