We are looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to join our Quality team. Reporting to a Quality Assurance Manager, the role will be supporting all departments in the development, implementation and maintenance of quality standards and systems. This role will be full-time, 37.5 hours per week Monday‑Friday and based in Runcorn., The position will involve both office‑based duties and warehouse management of complaint samples and medical devices.
Responsibilities
- Supporting all departments in the development, implementation and maintenance of quality standards and systems.
- Building strong working relationships with all departments across the business to engender a quality culture.
- Complying with all necessary standard operating procedures and systems to ensure the effective monitoring of quality standards.
- Co‑ordinating sample returns to complaints and sending off to relevant areas/3rd parties/Production units.
- Partnering with a business area and becoming familiar with their processes to aid complaint investigations and closures. Holding regular meetings and fostering the improvement.
- Supporting the investigation of root cause(s) of complaints and non‑conformances and assisting with the implementation of corrective/preventative actions to reduce these events.
- Managing end to end complaints as per the complaints handling process right from logging of complaint to the final response to the complainant and making a positive contribution to the customer satisfaction side of the business.
- Collating and reviewing data monthly to identify issues and areas of improvement from the data.
- Maintaining an overall knowledge of the current status of compliance across the site with rules and standards.
- Assisting with the maintenance of quality standards and supporting departmental projects.
- Reviewing and updating quality documents and procedures.
- Undertaking any other relevant duties to support the Quality Management team and Head of Quality.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in a Quality Assurance department within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong administrative skills and computer literate.
- Resilient and able to use own initiative to solve problems.
- Ability to plan workload and follow processes.
- Good communication skills.
- No rota’d weekend working and no night shifts.
