Job summary

The Focusrite Group offers a QA Engineering placement with TiMax in London, a 12-month full-time internship. You will gain hands-on experience testing both software and hardware components of our audio products, working closely with product and engineering teams to ensure high-quality standards across our range.

You will develop test plans, execute functional and regression tests, document results, and contribute to quality initiatives in a fast-paced audio manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

QA Engineering Placement – TiMax

Based: London, N7

Type: Full-time, 12-month placement

Salary: £28900 pa

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineering Intern to join our Product team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software and hardware testing for our audio products. As a QA Engineering Intern, you will work closely with our engineers to ensure the highest quality standards are met across our product range.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of test plans and test cases for audio products, including hardware and software components.
• Conduct functional, performance, and regression testing on audio devices to identify defects and ensure product reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development and engineering, to communicate testing results and support product improvements.
• Help maintain and update documentation related to testing processes, procedures, and results.
• Participate in meetings and contribute to team discussions regarding quality initiatives and improvements.
• Learn and apply best practices for QA methodologies, tools, and techniques in an audio manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with software testing concepts and methodologies.
• Basic understanding of audio technologies and products is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) is a plus.
