Job summary

TiMax QA Engineering Placement is a 12-month full-time internship in London, UK, hosted by The Focusrite Group. Join the product team to test hardware and software for audio devices, gaining hands-on QA experience.

You will work with engineers, develop test plans, run functional, performance and regression testing, and help document results while exploring QA methodologies in an audio manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with software testing concepts.
• Basic understanding of audio technologies and products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of test plans and test cases for audio products, including hardware and software components.
• Conduct functional, performance, and regression testing on audio devices to identify defects and ensure product reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate testing results and support product improvements.
• Help maintain and update documentation related to testing processes, procedures, and results.
• Participate in meetings and contribute to team discussions regarding quality initiatives and improvements.
• Learn and apply best practices for QA methodologies, tools, and techniques in an audio manufacturing environment.
