Job summary

TiMax Spatial, part of The Focusrite Group, is hiring an Electronics and Hardware Engineer at an early-career level in London. You will design simple circuits for motor controllers, update schematics, and support senior engineers on spatial audio hardware.

A key part of your role is coordinating with contract manufacturers and maintaining BOM accuracy. You will grow into more design work while gaining exposure to testing, bring-up, and production environments across the Focusrite group.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent grounding in electronics or related field.
• Ability to read schematics and reason about circuits.
• Experience with basic lab equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering).
• Experience with PCB layout tools is a plus.
• Excellent organization to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design straightforward circuits for Outboard motor controllers with senior review.
• Produce/update schematics and PCB layouts for simple boards.
• Build, test and fault-find prototypes and production units.
• Assist on more complex spatial audio hardware with measurement and bring-up.
• Support test fixtures and production test procedures.
