Job summary

Bilfinger UK is recruiting a QA Engineer to support QA/QC across MEI disciplines on the BP FPS LAES FOAK project. You will prepare Quality Plans and ITPs, review vendor QA documentation, and coordinate with Welding Engineers for documentation and QA requirements.

Strong communication and on-site collaboration are essential. You will monitor QA performance against KPIs, maintain records in the BMS, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• QA/QC experience with quality systems and documentation.
• Ability to review and approve ITPs, QA docs, and vendor QA plans.
• Experience with welding, NDT, and pipe fabrication
• Familiarity with KPI tracking and continuous improvement processes

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans and supporting QA documentation.
• Provide QA related technical support for the project
• Liaise with Welding Engineers and Project Engineers for QA submissions
• Coordinate and advise on material certification, welding, NDT and other QA requirements
• Coordinate the QA/QC Engineering function within MEI disciplines for BP FPS
• Liaise with 3rd party inspectors and coordinate Inspection
• Maintain QA documentation in the BMS and monitor KPIs
• Support on-site QA team and contribute to continuous improvement

As a QA Engineer, your activities will include the following, but are not limited to:

• Prepare and review Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans and supporting QA documentation.
• Provide Quality related technical support for the project
• Review vendor/supplier Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
• Liaise with Welding Engineers and Project Engineers in relation to submission of documentation and QA requirements for projects / maintenance.
• Co-ordinate and advise guidance on material certification, welding, NDT and other quality requirements.
• Co-ordinate the QA/QC Engineering function within M, E & I disciplines for BP FPS.
• Liaise with 3rd party inspectors and co-ordinate the Inspection function.
• Raise Continuous Improvement Forms (CIFs) as appropriate and liaise with Client's QA departments.
• Ensure all quality documentation/records are maintained within the Company's Business Management System (BMS).
• Ensure quality performance monitoring is maintained and reviewed accordingly against KPIs.
• Contribute to the improvement and technical capabilities of the Company.
• Quality Auditing - Internal and ExternalSupport the existing QA team on site

Qualifications

• PCN level 2 - MPI / DPI
• Recognised Lead Auditor qualification (#####)
• ONC/HNC Mechanical Engineering (Desirable)
• Radiograph Interpretation (Optional) Experience Good Engineering and QA/QC background.
• Knowledge and experience in Quality Management Systems.
• Development of project QA documentation (Quality Plans, ITPs etc.) andreview of supplier QA documentation.
• Knowledge and familiarity with KPIs and performance monitoringAble to read and understand isometric drawings.
• Understanding of and familiarity with pipe standards and specifications.
• Radiographic interpretation.
• Computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft Office suite essential.
• Understanding of fabrication, welding and NDT techniques.
• Good communication and report writing skills.
