We are seeking an experienced Datawarehouse QA Engineer to join a leading UK customer-centric business. As part of a centralized data team, you will collaborate closely with Data Engineers to understand complex data flows and technical and business requirements, developing ETL/ELT reconciliation scenarios and ensuring comprehensive testing of features.

The role

1. Focus on quality by supporting the team in sourcing, compiling, and developing reliable data reporting solutions that facilitate strategic decision-making. Explore opportunities to streamline or enhance existing SQL/ETL test automation processes.
2. Implement quality engineering principles from design to production, including reviewing acceptance criteria, executing tests, collaborating with business users for sign-off, and maintaining SQL-based testing frameworks.

What you will bring

• Expert-level testing experience with Oracle, Postgres, and Datawarehouse systems.
• Experience in ETL/MI data testing.
• Advanced SQL skills for data reconciliation and validation of business rules.
• Proficiency with querying tools such as SQL Developer, Snowflake, PostgreSQL/DBeaver.
• Hands-on experience delivering reconciled Facts and Dimensions and end-user reports.
• Technical understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, including design, star schema, and dimensional modeling.
• Proficiency with reporting tools like OAS and validation of subject areas and reports.
• Experience with ETL tools such as ODI.
• Knowledge of data replication tools like GoldenGate and DMS.
• Desirable: Python scripting skills.
• Experience implementing CI/CD processes and automation in Datawarehouse testing projects.
• Strong organizational skills to manage testing activities and deliverables.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across all business levels.
