Job summary

LA International is seeking an experienced QA Automation Test Engineer for a Glasgow-based contract role focusing on desktop and Windows-based applications. The role requires building robust automated testing solutions using C#/.NET and integrating with CI/CD, within a financial services programme.

You will design and maintain automated test frameworks, run suites for Windows Services and WPF apps, and work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in QA automation and SDET roles.
• Strong understanding of test lifecycles and methodologies.
• Experience with Windows Services and WPF desktop applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks from the ground up.
• Create and execute automated test suites for Windows Services and WPF desktop apps.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs and technical teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and quality standards.
• Support manual testing activities when required.
