Job summary

Capgemini in Glasgow is looking for a Test Automation Engineer (SDET) with strong C#/.NET experience to design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks for Windows desktop apps (WPF) and Windows Services. The role blends office, client site and home work under a hybrid model, with collaboration across QA, development and business teams.

You will build end-to-end test suites, create reusable utilities, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, driving automation coverage and framework

Qualifications

• Experience in SDET/Test Automation roles and building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong hands-on C#/.NET Framework/Core and Windows desktop app automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test execution in automated environments.
• Proven debugging/troubleshooting skills and version control usage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks using C#/.NET.
• Build end-to-end automated test suites for Windows Desktop/WPF apps and services.
• Create reusable automation libraries and utilities.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and analyze results.
• Collaborate with Developers, BAs, POs and QA teams to improve coverage.
• Support release validation and production readiness activities.
