Job summary
LA International is seeking a QA Engineer/QA Automation Test Engineer in Glasgow to design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for desktop and Windows-based software.
The role requires strong C#/.NET automation experience, a proven track record of building automation frameworks from scratch, and at least 5 years in QA Automation/SDET roles. Hybrid work in Glasgow with two onsite days per week is offered.
Qualifications
- Strong recent commercial experience in test automation using C# and .NET.
- Proven track record of building automation test frameworks from scratch.
- Experience testing Windows Services and WPF applications.
- Minimum 5 years' recent experience in QA Automation / SDET roles.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and lifecycle.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within Agile delivery environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks from the ground up.
- Create and execute automated test suites for Windows Services and WPF desktop applications.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and technical teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and quality standards.
- Support manual testing activities where required.
