Methods Business And Digital Technology is seeking a QA Automation Engineer/Consultant to join our London team. You will design, develop and maintain automated tests across APIs, user journeys and distributed services, collaborating with developers, DevOps, BAs, and product owners to ensure reliable release readiness.

Formación

• Strong hands-on Java programming with automated test code
• Experience with Serenity BDD, Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium WebDriver and REST Assured
• Understanding of HTTP/REST, JSON, authentication and error handling
• Experience testing distributed/microservice-based apps and async processing
• Ability to verify business workflows across service boundaries
• Experience using SQL and application logs to prepare test data
• Experience with Maven, Git, PRs and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in Agile teams and Three Amigos discussions

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain automated tests for APIs, integrations and end-to-end flows.
• Contribute to reusable test components and maintainable frameworks.
• Define testable acceptance criteria with stakeholders.
• Select appropriate test levels based on risk; balance coverage and speed.
• Integrate tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines; provide feedback.
• Test async workflows and inter-service interactions; validate data consistency.
• Create repeatable test data; manage environment dependencies and parallel execution.
• Investigate failures using logs, responses and queries; distinguish defects.
• Improve suite reliability by reducing flaky tests and duplication.
• Convert production defects into automated regression scenarios.
• Perform targeted exploratory testing alongside specialists.
• Maintain test coverage and release evidence in Jira/Zephyr; trace to changes.
• Raise defects clearly and triage with the team.
• Communicate progress and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
