Job summary

ABP Kingswinford in the West Midlands is recruiting a QA on a fixed-term 6-month contract. The role supports the technical department with audits, label checks, compliance walks and quality checks to ensure food safety and regulatory compliance in production.

You will work Monday to Friday, starting as early as 05:00, with hours varying by production needs. The team collaborates across departments to meet deadlines and maintain product quality.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to follow detailed operating procedures with a high degree of attention to detail
• The candidate will follow instructions including those relating to personal health and safety and the wearing of PPE
• General operative tasks require a substantial amount of physical ability and must be physically fit
• Can do attitude with good communication skills
• No sponsorship visa is available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Undertake daily, weekly, monthly technical tasks within the standard operating procedures
• Performing documented quality checks and monitor performance to ensure that food safety and quality standards are followed
• Ensure that all records are completed correctly and stored in the correct manner
• Understands requirements of internal, second and third party standards in the manufacturing area
• Understand non-conformance and reporting requirements for non-conformance and escalate to management
• Conduct basic root cause analysis for defects, non-conformances or other quality failures
• To support the team to ensure the completion of the required audits and process records
• To ensure all products are produced on site meet the agreed specification
• To ensure Food Safety and Quality Standards are at the forefront of operations in line with the company strategy
• To support the sites food safety culture
• Role requires flexibility in line with the needs of the business
