Job summary

Yeo Valley Production Ltd in Crewkerne, Somerset, is seeking a Quality Auditor on a 12-month maternity cover for 42 hours a week, 6am–6pm, on a 4-on/4-off shift pattern to drive a quality culture across the site. You will coach and motivate cross‑functional teams on food safety and quality, monitor real-time product quality, and support continuous improvement and compliance with technical procedures.

• Ensure all individual and team activities are completed safely, with clear controls, understanding and instructions at all times and fully supporting a safety first culture.
• High factory floor presence and engagement with teams, developing a site food safety and quality culture.
• Engage with site operational teams to ensure all food safety and quality requirements are maintained at all times and coach to aid / improve understanding.
• End to end understanding of the process to ensure full traceability is maintained and routinely tested.
• Provide verification of legal, food safety and quality systems, reporting results in a clear and accessible format
• Collate and present summary trends of information in a clear and concise manner in meetings

As a Quality Auditor you'll be driving a quality culture across our Crewkerne site. Coaching and motivating the key stakeholders you'll be working with, you'll be acting as a catalyst for influencing continuous improvement and better ways of working. Please note, this is a maternity cover position for 12 months, starting November/December, for 42 hours per week, 6am - 6pm, on a shift pattern of 4 on/4 off

The purpose of your role:

• Upholding legal, customer and consumers expectations, ensuring we are operating in atrue quality, food safety focused, working environment. Support and coach all sitefunctions on food safety and quality aspects of production
• To provide an operationally proactive Quality Assurance presence in orderto monitor real time manufacturing Product Quality and Compliance to QualityStandards and Technical Procedures, and support cross functional improvementswhen required across all key stakeholders

Your key responsibilities:

• Ensure all individual and team activities are completed safely, with clear controls,understanding and instructions at all times and fully supporting a safety first culture.
• High factory floor presence and engagement with teams, developing a site food safetyand quality culture.
• Engage with site operational teams to ensure all food safety and qualityrequirements are maintained at all times and coach to aid / improve understanding.
• End to end understanding of the process to ensure full traceability is maintained androutinely tested.
• Provide verification of legal, food safety and quality systems, reporting results in a clearand accessible format
• Collate and present summary trends of information in a clear and concise manner inmeetings
• Uses knowledge of site KPI’s to focus teams on driving improvement.
• Investigate live issues and trends, working cross functionally to develop a team solutionor escalating to key stakeholders if appropriate.
• Supporting of Development trials, ensuring success criteria are met through datacollation and analysis prior to scale up/launch of products or packaging.
• Conduct audits to schedule and ensure corrective actions are completed, in full, to rootcause.
• Identify opportunities of technical knowledge or skills gaps at operational levels andsupport training or guidance through local Department Management.
• Actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement in self and others.
