Reed Professional Services LLP is seeking a QA and Test Engineer to ensure the quality of a cloud-based occupancy data platform hosted in AWS. You will define testing strategies, implement automated tests, validate data processing and reporting, and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifikationen

• Active SC Clearance is required.
• Extensive experience in software testing and QA within Agile environments.
• Proven ability to develop test strategies and QA frameworks.
• Strong experience designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
• Hands-on API testing and systems integration testing.
• Experience validating complex data flows, transformations and reporting outputs.
• Strong experience with functional, regression and end-to-end testing.
• Experience integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of defect management and risk-based testing.
• SQL skills for data validation.

• Monitor quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is ideal for a consultant who excels in dynamic environments, enjoys testing complex systems, and is committed to delivering high-quality software solutions.

Day-to-Day of the Role

• Define and maintain the testing strategy and quality approach for the platform.
• Develop and execute both manual and automated test suites to validate platform functionality, integrations, and data processing workflows.
• Perform API, integration, and data pipeline testing.
• Verify data quality, transformation logic, and reporting outputs.
• Support sprint acceptance activities through independent quality assurance.
• Produce comprehensive test evidence aligned to acceptance criteria and delivery milestones.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support deployment validation and release assurance activities.
• Investigate defects, conduct root cause analysis, and support resolution activities.
• Work closely with engineers, architects, and product teams to enhance quality and test coverage.
• Monitor quality metrics and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to technical design reviews focusing on quality and testability.
• Support performance, resilience, and non-functional testing activities.
• Maintain robust test documentation, traceability, and audit evidence.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software testing and quality assurance within Agile delivery environments.
• Proven experience developing test strategies, test plans, and quality assurance frameworks.
• Strong experience in designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
• Hands-on expertise in API testing and systems integration testing.
• Experience validating complex data flows, transformations, and reporting outputs.
• Strong background in functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience integrating testing activities into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of defect management, root cause analysis, and risk-based testing methodologies.
• SQL skills for data validation and analysis.
• Experience working within modern cloud-hosted environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to produce high-quality test plans, documentation, and assurance reporting.
