Job summary

Saragossa in London is building a new AI-driven product from the ground up and seeks a Python-focused engineer to join early and influence the direction. You will write Python, design and maintain ETL pipelines, work with SQL, and develop APIs using FastAPI.

The role blends hands-on coding with shaping product decisions; the office is three days a week, and private medical insurance plus access to AI tools are provided.

Qualifications

You get to build something new, not just maintain what already exists.

This is a boutique asset manager that has grown to a genuinely meaningful size without losing the entrepreneurial feel that got them there. The technology team is small, which means you have real influence over how things get built and where things go next.

Right now they are building a new AI-driven product from the ground up. You are involved in that from an early stage, not parachuted in once the decisions are already made. As the product and the team grow, there is room to get involved across different areas of asset management technology. You do not need a background in finance or asset management to do well here. If you are curious and capable, you will pick it up.

Day to day you are writing Python, building and managing ETL pipelines, working with SQL, and developing APIs using FastAPI. The work is varied and the team moves at pace. You are not a cog in a large machine.

The office requirement is three days a week, which is reasonable and consistent. You will also get private medical insurance and paid access to AI tools, which makes sense given the direction the product is heading.
