Job summary

Actus Search invites applications for a Python Reliability Engineer to join the Risk Technology team in London, working 4 days a week in the office. You will help build firm-wide platforms to improve observability, change safety and performance across high-volume trading systems.

The role requires a degree in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years in software or reliability engineering, with strong Python, Git, and automation tooling skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 4+ years in software or reliability engineering with hands-on L2 production support.
• Strong Python and Git proficiency.
• Experience building automation tooling and config management.
• Excellent analytical, detail-oriented, and communicative skills.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop health-check and observability capabilities for core platforms.
• Integrate automated performance benchmarking into CI/CD pipelines.
• Build a self-serve platform for configuration changes with approvals.
• Own production incidents on a shared rota and drive root-cause analysis.
