Job summary

Y TREE is seeking a Financial Modelling Engineer (Python) to design and maintain ALM-driven financial planning engines. You will migrate legacy Excel models to a robust, code-based environment and write tests to ensure reliability for high-net-worth clients.

You will work in a hybrid London role, spending at least 2 days a week in the Soho office, collaborating with the Finance Modelling team to deliver scalable analytics and actionable insights within a wealthtech platform.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Python scripting for production-grade models.
• Understanding of financial planning inputs and outputs (cash flows, tax wrappers).
• Experience with ALM or wealth/finance analytics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute client analysis and translate scenarios into model inputs.
• Migrate core ALM/financial planning models from Excel to code-based environment.
• Write clean Python scripts to automate modelling tasks.
• Build and run unit tests; compare Excel vs code outputs during migration.
• Maintain technical documentation for financial models and assumptions.
• Provide advisory support to Client/Advice teams on model outputs.
