Job summary

Elliott James Consulting Ltd is seeking a Financial Modelling Engineer to join a fast-growing, technology-led wealth management team in London. You will develop complex financial planning models and bring Python-based automation to the modelling workflow.

You will work with experienced professionals across financial planning, data analytics and software development, delivering scalable, auditable models for high-net-worth clients and internal platforms.

Qualifications

2–4 years of experience in financial modelling, quantitative analysis or related field.
Experience in wealth management or financial services environment is preferred.
Strong Excel modelling skills and interest in modernising financial models with Python.

Responsibilities

Produce detailed financial modelling and long-term cashflow analysis for client portfolios.
Support complex financial planning scenarios including liquidity events and intergenerational wealth transfer.
Prepare, validate and quality assure financial data before it enters modelling systems.
Assist with migrating models from Excel into a scalable Python-based environment.
Develop Python scripts to automate modelling processes and improve efficiency.
Build and run testing frameworks to ensure model accuracy and consistency.
Document assumptions, calculations and methodologies for auditability.
Explain model outputs to advisers and client-facing teams and support complex scenarios.
