Python Engineer

Description

• Who we’re looking for: A passionate Python Developer interested in using new technologies to solve real business problems.
• The challenge: To maintain and enhance our Python-based payment and billing systems while collaborating with the data team to ensure consistent Python development practices across Tillo.
• Where you’ll work: This role will be based in our Hove office 2 days a week.

Day to day this role will

• Build out our Python services using technologies including FastAPI, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Integrate with third-party services and APIs.
• Support the Platform team (helping to maintain helm charts and docker files for Python services).
• Maintain high standards of our codebase and test suite.
• Pair program with other Engineers and participate in code reviews.

We’re looking for experience with

• Python on web applications using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Secure development principles and test-driven development.
• Git version control systems.
• Building and integrating APIs.

It’s not essential, but we’d love to hear about it if you have experience with

• AWS.
• Writing automated tests.
• Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
• CircleCI or similar pipeline tools.
