Job summary

TRAKD is seeking a Product Engineer to join an early-stage HealthTech startup and own core features end-to-end. You’ll work on Python-based backend, APIs, data pipelines, and frontend touchpoints with React, collaborating closely with the CTO and clinical teams.

This role emphasizes pragmatic product thinking, shipping real product increments, and operating across the stack in a fast-moving, regulated healthcare context. In-office role based in the UK; 6-month contract outside IR35.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Excellent Python engineering skills and strong fundamentals.
• Experience building asynchronous systems or data-processing workflows with significant concurrent/background work.
• Strong experience shipping real products, ideally consumer-facing.
• Demonstrated zero-to-one experience building new products or major features where the answers weren't already known.
• Strong product judgment and collaboration across teams.

Product Engineer — Early-Stage HealthTech Startup

We're building an AI-powered healthcare platform. Founded by an experienced team with backgrounds across consumer tech, AI, and healthcare, this is an ambitious, highly technical, mission-driven company aiming to make a real impact on human health at scale.

The Role

We're looking for a Product Engineer to help build our core consumer product. This is a full-stack role with Python at its core; you'll own problems end-to-end across APIs, async data pipelines, databases, integrations, infrastructure, and web/mobile when needed.

You'll work directly with the CTO and an experienced engineering team, alongside product, design and clinical teams, staying close to real user feedback. We want someone who thinks about what we should build and why, not just how to implement a ticket.

• Comfortable working across a modern full-stack environment
• Experience with a modern frontend framework such as React
• Track record of taking loosely defined problems through to shipped solutions
• Clear communicator, comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical teammates
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and adapting as you learn
