Job summary

Intec Select Limited is seeking a Python Engineer for a global data-driven technology firm. The role is a 6-month contract with hybrid London office work two days per week. You will design, build and maintain backend services, RESTful APIs, and Python microservices across the stack.

Requirements include strong Python experience, Django/Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL/MySQL, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), CI/CD, and Agile practices. On-site in London two days weekly.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience as Backend Software Engineer / Python Developer.
• Extensive Python development experience, preferably with Django and Django REST Framework.
• Proven track record building RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and Agile environments.
• On-site London work: 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
• Build Python-based microservices and components.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, QA, and engineering teams.
• Write clean, testable Python code and participate in reviews.
• Contribute to backend architecture and API design.
