MPI Limited in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is seeking an experienced Handback Engineer – PWAY to support railway infrastructure projects. The role focuses on coordinating and overseeing handback of Permanent Way works, ensuring safety, quality and conformance to project specifications, with close collaboration across site teams and project management.

• Experience in Handback Engineer or similar role within railway/ Permanent Way sectors.
• Strong understanding of Permanent Way principles and track infrastructure.
• Experience reviewing engineering documentation and quality records.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and manage the handback process for Permanent Way track works.
• Ensure track works meet approved designs, specifications and railway standards.
• Undertake inspections and verification checks to confirm works are complete and ready for handback.
• Ensure track infrastructure meets safety, quality, and engineering standards before operation.
• Review handback documentation, inspection records and test certificates.
• Coordinate with Site Supervisors, Project Engineers, CREs and other disciplines during handback.
• Identify, record and address outstanding works, defects and non-conformances.
• Maintain accurate handback records and submit relevant documentation.
• Support planning and coordination of possessions, isolations and track access where applicable.
