MPI Limited in Belfast is seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Permanent Way to support delivery of track infrastructure projects across Northern Ireland. You will manage Permanent Way activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring safety, quality and compliance with standards.

Working with site teams, contractors and designers, you will coordinate engineering interfaces, review drawings, monitor progress and contribute to programme, cost and resource management.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Project Engineer or similar in Permanent Way/railway sector.
• Strong knowledge of track standards and construction.
• Site-based railway project delivery experience.
• Ability to coordinate interfaces across multidisciplinary teams.
• Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent industry experience.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and coordinate all Permanent Way engineering activities across assigned projects.
• Provide technical support and engineering guidance to site teams and project delivery staff.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Coordinate Permanent Way works with other engineering disciplines to manage interfaces and resolve technical issues.
• Undertake site inspections and visits to monitor progress, quality and compliance.
• Ensure all engineering works are delivered in accordance with relevant track standards, specifications and procedures.
• Monitor project progress and assist with the management of programme, costs and resources.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, escalating where necessary.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, designers and stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
• Ensure appropriate engineering records, reports and documentation are maintained.
• Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Proven experience in a Project Engineer or similar engineering role within the Permanent Way / railway infrastructure sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of Permanent Way engineering principles and track construction.
• Good knowledge of track standards, processes and procedures.
• Understanding of engineering interfaces and multidisciplinary project delivery.
• Experience working on site-based railway infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate engineering activities and communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
• Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent industry experience.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Permanent Way (PWAY) to support the delivery of track infrastructure projects across Northern Ireland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating Permanent Way engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications, engineering standards and client requirements.

Working closely with site teams, contractors, designers and other engineering disciplines, you will play a key role in the technical delivery of projects, ensuring that all engineering activities are properly planned, coordinated and executed to programme, budget and quality expectations.
