Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing & Stock Control Manager to oversee and optimise our inventory management processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Experience in Lean principles, ideally ABC analysis, MOQ & EOQ,JIT to name a few.
• Monitor stock levels, track inventory movement, and conduct regular audits to prevent stock shortages or overstocking.
• Maintain accurate records of all stock transactions. ensuring data integrity.
• Collaborate with, warehouse and other teams to align stock levels with demand forecasts and business objectives.
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and develop strategies to reduce levels.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical and system stock levels, ensuring timely adjustments and accountability.
• Forecast demand and plan stock replenishment accordingly to avoid shortages or excess.
• Generate detailed inventory reports, analyse trends, and provide insights to senior management for decision-making.
• Work closely with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely stock deliveries and efficient warehouse operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement loss prevention strategies to minimise stock shrinkage.
• Use your previous knowledge of working with stock management software to be a key player in the team to implement new stock management software.
• Develop strong relationships with existing and new suppliers
• Negotiate and tracking pricing, clearly communicating any changes to senior management
• Develop and implement quality control policies and procedures for inbound goods
