Job summary

Jigsaw24 is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to manage purchase orders from approval to delivery handover, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure accurate pricing, availability and delivery information. You will proactively resolve exceptions and keep stakeholders informed throughout the purchasing process.

You will collaborate across Order Management, Sales, Product Specialists, Finance and Warehouse teams to optimise fulfilment and support excellent customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Raise and place purchase orders accurately and promptly against approved customer orders and internal requirements.
• Validate product codes, quantities, pricing, delivery details and supplier terms before orders are submitted.
• Obtain and record supplier acknowledgements, order reference numbers and confirmed delivery dates.
• Liaise with suppliers and distribution partners to check product availability, lead times and delivery changes.
• Escalate supply constraints, delays or discrepancies internally that may affect fulfilment or the customer experience.
• Identify price variances, carriage charges and unexpected costs before progress and resolve discrepancies with Finance.
• Identify cost saving opportunities by reviewing supplier pricing and consolidating demand.
• Process purchase order amendments and cancellations accurately.
• Build effective relationships across Order Management, Sales, Product Specialists, Finance and Warehouse teams.
• Provide proactive updates on order progress, exceptions and revised delivery expectations.
