Job summary

CV Recruitment is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator for an excellent permanent opportunity with a successful local company in Stoke-on-Trent. The role ensures purchase orders are processed accurately and suppliers and customers are managed effectively to meet delivery deadlines.

You will work closely with suppliers, customers and your team, building strong relationships, maintaining up-to-date purchasing records, and supporting general purchasing and admin duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or buying support role.
• Experience with SAPMAN or Sage or similar system.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player with proactive approach.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word).

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders to suppliers accurately and efficiently.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers through regular communication regarding their POs.
• Chase suppliers to ensure POs are acknowledged and delivered within lead-times.
• Respond to emails promptly and call suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
• Attend customer meetings to maintain communication and answer queries.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the purchasing process runs smoothly.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure systems are up to date.
• Support the team with general purchasing and administrative duties.
