Job summary

Rising Talent Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator for an established manufacturing business in Glenrothes. You will manage purchasing, supplier liaison, and stock levels to keep production moving.

Working across purchasing, production, engineering, and warehouse, you will raise purchase orders, source materials, monitor costs and lead times, and ensure accurate records using Sage and internal systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, materials, or supply chain in manufacturing or engineering.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Confident dealing with suppliers and proactive in solving problems.
• Comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Raising and managing purchase orders for raw materials, engineering components, and third-party suppliers
• Sourcing materials, components, and suppliers
• Monitoring supplier costs, lead times, quality, and deliveries
• Proactively chasing outstanding orders and resolving supply issues
• Managing stock levels and ensuring materials are available for production
• Supporting stock checks, goods inward and inventory accuracy
• Maintaining accurate purchasing records and reports
• Using Sage and internal systems for stock checks, reporting and back-order management
