Job Title: Purchasing Manager
Location: Eye - Suffolk
Days of work: Monday - Friday 09.00 - 17.00

Salary : 55,000 + DOE

Major Recruitment are pleased to be working with one of the county's biggest Bulk herb suppliers.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Manager.

• Developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies for cost optimisation and enhancing supply chain efficiency.
• Identifying, evaluating and selecting suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness and adherence to ethical and sustainability standards in collaboration with technical approval.
• Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favourable pricing, payment terms and mutually beneficial agreements and ensuring that suppliers comply to food safety and health and safety standards.
• Work with NPD and Technical departments to source new products and suppliers
• Conducting market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, supplier capabilities and pricing fluctuations
• Obtain the best value for money on all types of purchasing
• Work with Factory/ Production Manager to plan production/stock

Key Attributes

• Previous experience in a purchasing management postion

• Excellent negotiation skills

• Effective communication skills both written and verbally
• Research and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• CIPS qualification preferred but not essential.
