The role requires proactive purchasing leadership covering a £10 million+ annual spend, with a focus on cost savings, supplier selection and stock control, to ensure the business remains strategically equipped.

You will collaborate with management, planning, and warehouse teams, negotiate with international suppliers, and uphold regulated environment standards.

Long established Pharmaceutical Manufacturing firm require an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team in Southport, Merseyside.

Your role will be to provide a proactive and qualitative purchasing function to the organisation covering a £10 million+ spend per annum. You will work with the company's management in order to successfully achieve cost savings through strong negotiation with planning, warehouse, suppliers and maintain / develop a robust stock control system. Ultimately you will ensure that the organisation is strategically equipped to achieve and exceed organisational objectives via means of appropriate purchasing strategy, ordering processes, supplier selection, supplier management and implementation of projects etc.

As an experienced Purchasing Manager you will be/have:

• CIPS Qualified.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience within a regulated environment.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• IT Literate.
• Confidential manner.
• Experience managing international suppliers an advantage.
