Job Description

As Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the Company's manufacturing operations are kept fully supplied with components to achieve planned production targets. Full training will be provided; however, previous international purchasing experience, including working with a global network of suppliers, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Raising of purchase orders in a timely manner to support Company requirements and to ensure best price in relation to break points and demand whilst working within defined specifications.
• Managing raw material stock holding in-house, in transit, and at Supplier warehousing to accommodate varying lead times.
• Manage component stockholding.
• Manage Supplier relationships.
• Monitor Supplier performance.
• Maintain LV database.
• Knowledge of Company standard operating procedures and ensuring that they are followed to comply with audit requirements.
• Overseeing daily activities of department.

Ideal Candidate

• Highly literate. Good level of conversational and written English
• Highly numerate.
• Highly PC and mainframe computer literate, including experience using LV software.
• CIPS qualification preferred.
• Experience of purchasing internationally and working with a global network of suppliers.
• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment, and with quality systems.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with operational personnel and management.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Organised and methodical
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work to deadlines
