Job summary

Victorian Plumbing is seeking a proactive Purchasing Assistant to join our Leyland HQ, supporting a fast-paced stock and buying team. You will keep supplier relationships on track and ensure smooth high-volume stock flow through the commercial operation.

You’ll be embedded in a busy retail environment, handling orders, coordinating with internal teams, and maintaining accurate stock data. This role offers progression in procurement and supply chain.

Qualifications

• Organised and driven with strong time management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with suppliers and internal teams.
• Proactive problem-solver who spots issues early.
• Data-savvy with experience using spreadsheets and stock reports.

Responsibilities

• Build Purchase Orders and track stock deliveries.
• Monitor lead times and update ETAs in internal systems.
• Answer stock queries with Customer Service, Trade and Resolutions teams.
• Resolve delivery discrepancies and handle invoice/credit queries.
• Maintain day-to-day purchasing reports for stock visibility.
