Job Vacancy - Purchasing Co-ordinator
The Role:
To support the Purchasing Department by ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services, building strong internal and external supplier relationships and ensuring continuity of supply across the business.
Duties to include:
- To provide a seamless on stop supply chain where the company, the customer and our employees work as one for mutual benefit.
- Placing of small purchase orders with suppliers
- Dealing with all aspect of stock management/inventory queries
- Working with inventory, warehouse, operations, customer service and suppliers
- Purchase Order administration/chasing of back order and communicating on any potential stock issues
- Create supply chain/inventory reports and interpret data
- Dealing with supplier invoice resolutions, with suppliers, inventory and finance
- Track outstanding orders and follow up on delayed shipments
- Management of supplier returns
- Management of the eBay account/dead stock management.
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following attributes:

- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone and via email
- Experience of purchasing and stock management
- Experience of working in a demanding role, able to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Customer-focused with a proactive approach.
- General secondary education, GCSE Maths and English
