Job Description

We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our fast-paced team. You will be responsible for the accurate processing and submission of purchase orders, updating delivery dates, and obtaining prices from suppliers.

Your Role
  • Handle purchase order requests promptly.
  • Keep purchase prices updated.
  • Gather and input correct prices into internal systems.
  • Source parts quickly and cost-effectively.
  • Expedite orders while maintaining good supplier relationships.
  • Identify potential cost savings for the business.
  • Maintain regular contact with suppliers and internal stakeholders via telephone and email.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Previous purchasing experience preferred, including parts sourcing, processing purchase orders, and dealing with suppliers; strong administrative experience will also be considered.
  • Knowledge of Sage order processing is a plus, but training will be provided.
  • Experience with online ordering portals.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of Siclops and/or Solar Vista Live systems is desirable but not essential; training will be given.
  • Good telephone manner and ability to handle queries efficiently.
  • High attention to detail.
