JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant / Buying Administrator who has experience working in Purchasing/Procurement/Buying, with good Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

As the Purchasing Assistant / Buying Administrator, you will manage supplier accounts, coordinate purchase orders, assist with daily queries, handle travel arrangements, and update the ERP system.

DUTIES

  • Prepare requisitions in ERP for approval with complete information.
  • Convert requisitions into Purchase Orders and email suppliers.
  • Handle Master Planning Purchase Orders for approval.
  • Manage buying office emails from employees without ERP access.
  • Source suppliers and negotiate prices.
  • Update supplier details in ERP, ensuring price changes are authorized by a Director.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages.
  • Manage returns within ERP system.
  • Notify suppliers of returns and arrange collections.
  • Check and maintain stock levels of indirect supplies.
  • Assist with daily queries.
  • Organize travel for employees.
  • Order and distribute employee clothing and shoes, coordinating payments.
  • Maintain leasing of company vehicles.
  • Create monthly activity and savings reports for the Purchasing Manager.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in Purchasing/Procurement/Buying.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • ERP system experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Good prioritization and deadline management skills.
