Base pay range

We seek a procurement professional to review and assess current procurement arrangements for a prestigious military charity. This is initially a six-month FTC with a hybrid work model, primarily based in London.

Ideal candidates will have experience in not-for-profit settings, working alongside Charity Directors to evaluate current processes, make recommendations, and assist with implementation.

The initial steps include meeting with the charity to discuss contract terms and establishing a way forward.

Role Summary:

• Provide expertise on procurement processes, including sourcing, purchasing, contract negotiation, and supplier management across various teams.
• Lead development and implementation of procurement processes to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.
• Support all stages of procurement, including tendering, sourcing, and contract management.
• Collaborate with budget holders to align procurement with organizational strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure expenditure efficiency and procurement controls are robust and transparent.
• Analyze expenditure data to inform decisions.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives and ensure value for money.
• Manage supplier relationships and mitigate procurement risks.
• Implement and oversee contract templates and registers.
• Support contract negotiations and develop commercial opportunities.
• Provide procurement training and develop strategic supplier relationships.
• Monitor and review contract activities, providing governance advice.
• Assist with procurement for critical supplies related to welfare, housing, fundraising, and facilities.
