Job summary

Oundle School is seeking a Procurement, Commercial & Contract Management professional to deliver high-quality procurement and commercial services for the School and its subsidiaries. The role, within the Finance team, reports to the Director of Finance and leads procurement, supplier management, tendering, and contract mobilization from decision through to business as usual.

Part-time, 20–24 hours per week over 52 weeks; hours to be discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement and contract management within an education or public sector environment.
• Ability to lead tender processes from invitation to award.
• Strong stakeholder management and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement, supplier management and commercial processes for the School and its subsidiaries.
• Oversee tender management, contract award, mobilisation and handover to BAU.

The Role

The purpose of the role is to provide a high-quality Procurement, Commercial & Contract Management service to Oundle School and its subsidiaries, and to provide commercial support to the Director of Finance, The Bursar & wider Leadership Team.

Working within the Finance team, the role holder will report to the Director of Finance, and is responsible for leading Procurement, Supplier Management & Commercial processes, adapting, improving, and ensuring best practice is always applied; and being accountable for supplier relationships from outset of decision to tender, tender invite through to handover as BAU. To include Tender Management, Contract Award, Mobilisation and sign off to BAU.

• Working weeks: 52 weeks.
• Hours of work: Part-time, 20-24 hours per week. The specific days, start and finish times can be discussed at the interview stage.
