Job summary

TipTopJob is looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join a busy sales and purchasing team. This newly created role focuses on sourcing products, obtaining quotations and managing supplier communications to keep orders moving in a fast-paced environment.

You will support the procurement process from sourcing through to resolving issues, handling multiple orders, maintaining records in Excel and internal systems, and ensuring accurate information while adhering to internal processes.

Qualifications

  • Previous purchasing or procurement experience preferred.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office knowledge.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good organisation and time management.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload with multiple priorities.
  • Confident telephone manner and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Energetic and proactive approach to work at pace.
  • Experience dealing with suppliers, customers or internal stakeholders.
  • ERP experience advantageous; training can be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Contacting existing and potential suppliers by telephone and email

Are you a Purchasing Administrator, Procurement Administrator or Sales Administrator who thrives in a busy, fast paced environment?

Do you have high energy, good attention to detail and the initiative to get things done without needing to be asked?

We are looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join a busy and growing team. This is a newly created position and a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at pace, managing multiple priorities and being part of a team where no two days are the same.

The business has a large and growing order book, so you will play an important role in keeping purchasing activity moving, supporting the sales team and making sure orders and supplier requirements are dealt with efficiently.

What will you be doing?

Working as part of a close knit sales and purchasing team, you will support the procurement process from sourcing products and obtaining quotations through to managing supplier communication and resolving any issues.

What are we looking for?

This role would suit someone who is energetic, organised and proactive and enjoys working in a fast moving environment.

You may already be working as a Purchasing Administrator, Procurement Administrator, Purchasing Assistant, Sales Administrator, Sales Support Administrator, Buying Administrator or Customer Service Administrator.

We Are Particularly Interested In People Who Have
  • Previous purchasing or procurement experience would be ideal, but a strong Sales Administrator or Sales Support candidate with excellent organisational skills and the right attitude will also be considered.
  • Strong Excel skills and good Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • The ability to manage a busy workload and multiple priorities
  • A confident telephone manner and strong communication skills
  • Good initiative and the ability to work things out independently
  • A positive and energetic approach to work

  • Experience using an ERP system would be advantageous, but training can be provided.
