KEY ROLE: To improve the company's supply chain by managing all activities related to ordering and expediting purchased items, ensuring the business maintains an adequate supply of necessary materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Liaising with suppliers, planning, production, and warehouse teams; undertaking administration; and ensuring compliance with regulations. Key responsibilities include:

• Purchasing & inventory management
• Running MRP and purchasing components in line with buyers' actions
• Raising purchase orders on SAP and confirming acknowledgements
• Managing suppliers to ensure delivery dates are met
• Monitoring component stock levels against safety stocks
• Expediting deliveries with suppliers and transport companies
• Managing international shipments and liaising with shipping agents
• Arranging air freight shipments when required and approved
• Booking stock, arranging proofs of delivery, and reconciling to purchase orders
• Managing stock levels based on forecasts and usage
• Attending customer meetings to determine stock levels
• Purchasing components for NPI projects and trials
• Providing input to production and planning meetings
• Ensuring MRP system accuracy
• Monitoring supplier performance and KPIs
• Providing purchasing forecasts to suppliers
• Supporting the Supply Chain Manager on projects and audits
