Halliwell Jones (Warrington) Ltd is seeking a Purchase Ledger Supervisor in Warrington to lead the purchase ledger team and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. You will work to maintain high standards of financial record-keeping and control within a supportive, family-run environment.

The role emphasises process improvement, collaboration with the wider Finance team, and ensuring deadlines are met while providing operational cover as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchase ledger administration and supplier account reconciliations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
• Excellent administrative, organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, methodical approach to problem-solving and discrepancies.
• Team player with ability to build cross-functional relationships.
• Experience with automated purchase ledger initiatives and image-recognition or automated invoice processing is essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and maintain efficient operation of the purchase ledger and related financial administration and reporting.
• Ensure supplier invoices, payments, reconciliations and transactions are processed accurately and on time.
• Develop and maintain departmental procedures in line with company policies and financial controls; support month-end processes and reconciliations.
