Job summary

Red Door Recruitment in St Albans is recruiting a Purchase Ledger Assistant for a 6-month FTC. The role involves timely loading of invoices and credit notes, payment allocations and supplier statement reconciliations.

Salary is up to £35k for a 35-hour week (9am-5pm) with free parking. The successful candidate will have previous ledger experience and a good grasp of reconciliation techniques.

Qualifications

• Previous Purchase Ledger/Accounts Payable experience.
• Understanding of the trading accounting process and reconciliation techniques.
• Intermediate Excel and accounts package experience, ideally Netsuite.
• Accustomed to processing in a high-volume environment.
• Effective communication skills; verbal, electronic and written.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and to work to deadlines.
• Ability to achieve targets whilst maintaining accuracy.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Willingness to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Ensure invoices/credit notes are approved in line with the approval matrix and within deadlines.
• Code and post all invoices/credit notes.
• Allocate all payments.
• Reconcile supplier statements to the ledger.
• Maintain historic purchase ledger balances and clear debits.
• Assist with month-end processes.
• Process expenses per company policy and reimbursements.
